Welcome to Volt and Go, a private-hire booking platform that allows users to book licensed private-hire vehicles operated by licensed drivers. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Volt and Go website, mobile applications, and associated services (“Services”).
By accessing or using Volt and Go, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Services.
Volt and Go provides a digital platform that enables users to request and book private-hire journeys.
Volt and Go is not a transport provider. All transportation services are provided by licensed private-hire drivers and private-hire vehicle operators in accordance with UK licensing legislation and local council regulations.
Volt and Go acts as:
A booking agent, connecting passengers with licensed drivers.
A technology provider, offering the booking platform.
A payment agent, collecting fares on behalf of the driver/operator.
To use Volt and Go:
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must legally be able to enter into binding contracts.
You must comply with all applicable laws in the United Kingdom.
When making a booking:
You agree to provide accurate information, including pickup location, drop-off destination, and passenger details.
You must ensure that all passengers behave safely and respectfully during the journey.
You must not misuse the platform, including by making fake bookings or interfering with the service.
Volt and Go reserves the right to:
Cancel or refuse any booking.
Suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
Once a booking is placed, a licensed driver may be assigned to your journey. Confirmation will be sent via the app/SMS/email.
You may cancel a booking at any time before the driver is dispatched without charge, unless otherwise stated.
If the driver has already been dispatched, cancellation fees may apply.
Drivers may cancel in circumstances such as:
Unsafe pickup conditions
Passenger absence
Vehicle breakdown
Regulatory/licensing constraints
Volt and Go is not liable for losses caused by driver cancellation, but we will attempt to reassign your job where possible.
A “No-Show” occurs when:
The driver arrives at the pickup point and cannot locate the passenger after attempting contact.
The passenger does not arrive within the grace period (usually 5 minutes, unless otherwise stated).
A no-show fee may be charged to cover the driver’s time and mileage.
Fares may include:
Base fare
Distance
Time
Waiting time
Toll charges
Airport charges
Congestion zone fees
Surge pricing (depending on demand)
You will see an estimated fare at the time of booking. Final fare may vary based on the actual journey and time taken.
Volt and Go accepts:
Card payments
In-app payments
Other digital payment methods
All payments are processed securely. Volt and Go collects payments as agent for the driver.
After every trip, a receipt will be sent electronically to your registered email.
You are responsible for:
Maintaining your account credentials
Ensuring information is accurate
Any actions taken under your account
Volt and Go may suspend accounts suspected of fraud, misuse, or regulatory non-compliance.
Passengers must:
Wear seatbelts
Act respectfully towards drivers and other road users
Avoid causing damage to the vehicle
Not bring prohibited items or engage in illegal activity
Drivers may terminate the journey if they feel unsafe.
Cleaning or damage fees may apply in cases of spillages, vomiting, or damage to the vehicle.
Volt and Go is not responsible for items left in vehicles.
If the driver finds lost property, they will follow the procedure required by the local licensing authority.
Volt and Go does not provide transportation services and is not liable for:
Delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or accidents
Injury, loss, or damage caused by the driver or third parties
Events outside our reasonable control
Volt and Go’s liability to you is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific booking.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liabilities that cannot be excluded under English law.
Volt and Go aims to maintain uninterrupted service but does not guarantee:
Constant availability
Error-free operation
That services will meet every user expectation
We may update or modify the platform at any time.

Complaints about drivers may be referred to the local licensing authority, as required by law.
Volt and Go aims to respond to all complaints within 7 days.
The Volt and Go name, logo, website design, software, and all associated content remain the exclusive property of Volt and Go and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.
Volt and Go may terminate or suspend your account immediately if:
You breach these Terms
Your behaviour is unsafe, abusive, or fraudulent
Required by law or licensing authority
You may delete your account at any time.
Volt and Go may update these Terms to comply with UK law, licensing requirements, or platform improvements. The updated Terms will take effect immediately upon publication.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
